About Franklin Family Support
Franklin Family Support Services in Pukekohe is a leading agency for social services in the Franklin District.
A team was formed in 1979 after a community survey, and the result was the Family Support Centre in Pukekohe. We have been providing support and services to the community since 1982 with a strong team of both volunteers and professionals.
In July 2008, we changed our name and legal status to reflect the changing nature of the organisation and became Franklin Family Support Trust, known as Franklin Family Support Services.
In 2015, we moved from our home of many years at 2 King Street to 6 Roulston Street in Pukekohe, right across the road from where we began to service all those years ago. In 2018, we were working from offices in the old council building, 82 Manukau Road, Pukekohe.
In 2021, it was a pleasure to move to our permanent home at 205 King Street, Pukekohe.

We offer a range of services to meet the ever-increasing needs of our community.
Our Counsellors work with a range of people to explore the stress and anxiety they may be experiencing and help them resolve issues in their lives that are making it difficult for them to live happily and positively.
Social Workers support and advocate for those who can't help themselves until they can. They work with families and individuals in the community on a range of issues.
Our financial mentors help get people out of serious debt. Managing their finances with better understanding and run financial planning seminars. They offer one on one appointments to help people plan their financial future and make positive changes.
Providing transport to medical appointments, especially out of the District; helping parents learn skills to enjoy positive parenting; bringing together and coordinating all agencies a family may be dealing with; providing Justice of the Peace and legal clinics; are other services provided.
Collaborating for the benefit of the Community
Franklin Family Support works with other agencies to help bring services to Franklin. Some of those agencies have the expertise we do not have. We also help each other out when it is busy to ensure clients and customers do not have long waits.
We provide an 'umbrella' for other organisations to help them launch their projects.
Franklin Family Support is a founding Trustee of Te Whariki Ora, a coalition of service providers who work together to help families and children who have experienced domestic violence.
