Franklin Family Support Contract Counsellor – Pukekohe based

Applications are invited for a contract Counsellor position for a minimum  of 20 hours per week.

We are looking for a qualified, skilled Counsellor. The ideal applicant will:

- be fully qualified as a Counsellor with 3+ years counselling experience
- be a member (or provisional member) of a recognised professional body eg NZAC, NZAP
- enjoy working with people of all ages presenting with diverse issues including families affected by domestic violence and child abuse
- use strength-based principles in their clinical practice
- show strong commitment to cultural competency
- communicate effectively, be well-organised and use a clinically sound reporting style to meet agency requirements
- demonstrate a positive, flexible attitude to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- be computer literate (experience with Exess is an advantage)

Previous experience in facilitating therapeutic groups or interest in developing group work skills would be an advantage.
