Talbot Murray

Talbot became a trustee in early 2017 after observing how effectively Franklin Family Support Services serves the community.

He and his wife Trish became Franklin residents after moving from the Wellington region, where they had worked in marine science for over 25 years. Both have a passion for helping people improve their lifestyle and see Franklin Family Support Services as an invaluable local agency offering a “hand-up” for people of all backgrounds in the Franklin area.

Talbot is a former research scientist with over 40 years’ experience in marine biological research. For over 10 years, he and Trish have also run a business committed to helping people attain optimal health through understanding the potential impact of lifestyle choices. They see a balance of regular moderate exercise, good dietary choices, and supplementation as the key to their clients achieving optimal health.

Talbot brings to the Franklin Family Support Trust team, a real passion for helping people achieve a better life for themselves. His work with people from diverse cultures across the Pacific has given him a unique understanding of issues relating to people of different backgrounds. He is also using his analytical skills to help identify population changes and needs in the rapidly evolving Franklin community. Talbot and Trish have lived in Onewhero since 2011.
