Our Aims and Objectives
To empower families or individuals with financial, personal or family issues by providing professional, compassionate and caring social services and educational programmes.
In accordance with the Trust Deed the objects of the Trust are to strengthen family life: not by the provision of financial help or other material assistance, but rather by helping the family or individual, through their own efforts to develop their physical, emotional and spiritual resources and to become aware of other resources available to them in the surrounding community.
The achievement of these ends is to be attained by:
- Providing an intensive level of support to families or an individual member, experiencing a crisis or serious difficulties in matters such as personal relationships, household management, childcare or illness.
- Assisting families or individual members, to develop personal or interpersonal skills, to become familiar with personal and community resources available to them, and to function independently of the service as soon as possible.
- Providing assistance on the basis of objectives set by the family, or individual, in consultation with the counsellor. The objectives to be realistic, measurable and capable of attainment.
- Providing a liaison between referring agencies and supportive groups in the community for the benefit of the family or individual member.
